Raku Izakaya Reviews

The food was very good. The service was relatively fast, but we had an early dinner and the restaurant was empty. The waiters seemed a little distracted so we needed to keep calling them to get their attention. We went with a toddler and the waiter was very patient with her. The sushi rolls were delicious and very well priced. The ramen was good.

Fun atmosphere with quality, normally priced sushi. The presentation on all the sushi was surprisingly clean and colorful. The tuna tartare was excellent! Our waiter John was super friendly and attentive. The seating is also very comfortable, even at the bar.

Raku Izakaya is a Japanese-style bar with excellent food and good drinks at great prices. It's probably one of the best places to eat at in Fort Lee, especially late at night when nearly everything else is closed.

I had an incredible dining experience at the Raku today! The quality of the sushi was outstanding, and the flavors were truly delightful. Raku special, rock shrimp tempura and Dragon was amazing! The ambiance was lovely, creating a relaxing atmosphere for enjoying the delicious food. What truly made the experience exceptional was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Jon. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Thank you for an unforgettable meal, and kudos to Jon for his amazing service!

I love this place, the food, the drinks... especially our waitress Susan, whenever we go here she greets us with her best smile and service, she is incredible as is the place.

Happy hour until 8pm Sake, Wings & Fries, chicken gizzard. Plus regular roll and tonkatsu meal. Tasted all good. Gizzard in hot plate good idea. Draft includes North (Sapporo) & South (Orion from Okinawa)... (perhaps need to take apart and clean equipment more often?) Service very good. Attentive. Decent place to watch TV as well.

amazing experience! the staff is so unbelievably kind and thoughtful they even made this vegan teriyaki dish with tare for me including tofu for extra protein! My friend got the spider roll as well. they had great recommendations on drinks and I got the sweet sparkling peach sake! DW, our waiter was literally so awesome, so clear and communicative, & on top of everything!! Literally would come back just for his service alone, he loves his job, you can tell by the absolutely stellar performance!!

Great place. It had what we were looking for in a Izakaya place. The food was fresh and seasoned well. Was too busy enjoying the food, so didn't take as many pics. We were a large group and really enjoyed the food here. We tried a whole variety of things. Tako Wasabi was not as good as I expected. I felt like it was missing something. Miso cod wasn't as flavorful, but still good. Karaage was really fresh and crispy. It hit the spot. Fried wings were crispy and well seasoned. Tuna sashimi salad was very refreshing. Nice size salad for group sharing Gyu tataki (rare beef) in ponzu was delicious. The seafood soup was amazing! We also enjoyed sausage, fried eggplant w/miso. Most of what we ordered was delicious, just a couple of misses, so a 4 star. I like the decor and ambiance. I would love to go back and highly recommend this place.
